A view of Paris fromMontmartre:
The views! Oh, the views from Sacre Coeur! Paris lays before you in all of its glory... just waiting to be explored. Explore it!
While we were not be able to personally meet Hemingway or Picasso face-to-face here, we experienced their vibe on the winding,
narrow streets of Montmartre - from the street artists at Place du Tertre to the pink painted restaurant, La Maison Rose.
As evidenced below, art is not confined to museums alone. It finds expression on all surfaces. From the moment you exit the Art Nouveau
wrought iron metro stop at Abbesses, you are pleasantly overwhelmed by graffiti walkways that mark a place to eat, or the home/
workplace of a famous painter or writer. The one thing they have in common... they give pleasure to the eye!
Take time to RELAX... take in the ambiance of one of its many neighborhood cafes. Eat, drink and be merry in sight of windmills.
Just don't lose your head!
