WOW MOMENTS:

Picture
After our night visit to the Louvre, we had dinner at Cafe Marly,
a restaurant located beneath the arcades of the Louvre.
We were seated at a table with an open window where the moon
overlooked the Pyramid in the courtyard.
It was so close it was as if we could touch it.
Simply put, the moment was... UNFORGETTABLE!
Thank you Paris for such an extraordinary evening!

After the farewell  dinner on our last night with the tour group,
we went to a concert at St. Sulpice, a 13th century Romanesque
church in the Latin Quarter. We saw an advertisement online months earlier for an orchestra concert with choir of Mozart's Requiem.
We could only imagine the reverberation of music/song in a stone church with massive thick walls.  It did not disappoint!
From other posters we saw during our visit, it seemed like the same
program was being offered throughout the year in the various
neighborhoods.  It wasn't only the music of Mozart, we saw flyers
for Vivaldi's Four Seasons as well.  It was another once-in-a-lifetime memory.  Another reason, as Rick Steves says, "Keep on traveling!"
P.S.  The church was dark.  This is the best photo we could capture!

GOODBYES:

The lady on the far left was our tour guide, Virginie,
our constant companion from one site to another.
She was one gem of a lady!
Not only was she knowledgeable about the sites we visited,
she would also surprise us with delicacies from the different neighborhoods - be it breads filled with pieces of fruits  or cheese, cookies, cocoa powdered nuts, or chocolates.
They served as energy boosts at times we needed them most.  She was instrumental is getting us safely from one place to another; sounding a warning for pickpockets on the metro,
or scammers in crowded places like the Eiffel Tower or Montmartre. She made the overall experience of Paris: FANTASTIQUE!

To Virginie , and all those shown below who shared meals, wine and stories with us, we say merci beaucoup!  It was a pleasure!
In French, au revoir can mean something more than goodbye -
more like until we see/meet each other again.
It is in that context we say goodbye... until we meet again...
Au revoir!

POST TOUR:

You're quite not the same person you were before taking a Rick Steve's Tour.
We have already taken a cooking class at
Sur La Table to learn how to make Beef Bourguignon. We've already mastered crepes.  Souffles are next! Instead of fashionistas, we've become cuisinistas!
