The Rodin Museum is not on the tour, but only a short distance from Les Invalides and the hotel. This charming museum holds about
500 sculptures and 8,000 prints and drawings by the artist - right within the very house he lived and worked. Surprisingly, the sculptures overflow into the beautifully landscaped gardens. The Thinker could not have picked a better setting to contemplate his woes! .
The tree-lined pathways, typical of French landscapes, are not to be missed! The best dessert we had during our time in Paris,
the layered raspberry/whipped cream delicacy shown below, was purchased at the little cafe within its gardens.
It was a peaceful place to stop and take a break.
